Rodrigo Roza studied at Hotel School Sant Pol de Mar in Barcelona and has worked in prestigious kitchens such as Arzak (Juan Mari Arzak in San Sebastian) and Talaia Mar (Ferrán and Albert Adriá in Barcelona). Roza won the Spanish Tapas Championship in 2007, in addition to many other culinary awards in Asturias and Oviedo.
After years running La Taberna del Zurdo Restaurant in Oviedo, Rodrigo Roza took the leap into informal dining with the 11Guajes project. Based on tapas and dishes to share, he uses the best products while respecting traditional, home-cooked, Asturian meals. Meanwhile, Roza has also grown closer to the city that watched over him as he developed his interest for cooking alongside his grandmother, Evelia Ordiales, who was from Gijon.
